• find a sample software for each use case
• make an attempt to archive the software in a sustainable way and see what problems you encouter

preconditions

• preserve appplications that run on a local workstation (autocad)
• not about software that runs in a network (facebook)
• not about cloud services(office 365, CS6
• precondition for this guidelines: you have full access to the application.

use cases

1. as an archivist, I want to preserve specific software I need to access files in my repository.
2. as a museum conservator, I want to preserve an application that is a work of art in itself.
3. as an organisation I want to preserve software for which I have paid the development.
4. as an organisation I want to archive all software we have ever used, to anticipate problems to acces my own archive.

1. stabilise the carrier
